Terms & Conditions
1. General
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all MOT inspection and related services provided by BMC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking an MOT appointment with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. MOT Test Standard
The MOT test is carried out in accordance with the standards set by the DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency). The result of the test reflects the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.
3. Pricing
All prices are clearly stated at the time of booking. Prices may change, but this will not affect any booking already confirmed.
4. Appointment and Attendance
- You are responsible for ensuring your booking details are accurate.
- Please arrive on time for your MOT appointment.
- If you do not attend your appointment (no-show), the payment is non-refundable.
- If you arrive late and we are unable to carry out your test, this may also be treated as a no-show.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling
- If you wish to cancel or rearrange your appointment, you must contact us at least 48 hours before your appointment time.
- Cancellations must be made via email: booking@brunswickmotcentre.co.uk
- If you cancel within 48 hours of your appointment, no refund will be issued.
6. Failed MOT Tests
If your vehicle fails the MOT test:
- A failure certificate will be provided.
- You may choose to repair the vehicle with us or elsewhere.
- Retest availability will follow current DVSA retest regulations.
7. Liability
We take reasonable care when handling your vehicle. However:
- We are not responsible for existing faults or conditions not caused by us.
- We are not liable for costs associated with repairs, test failure, or related issues.
8. Customer Responsibilities
You must ensure that:
- The vehicle is roadworthy and safe to drive to the appointment.
- The vehicle has enough fuel and charge for testing.
- Personal items are removed prior to handing the vehicle over.
9. Data Protection
Personal information is protected under GDPR and will not be shared except where legally required.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes shall be dealt with under UK jurisdiction.
